Radio rules

Listening to Craig Charles’s fantastic “Funk and Soul Show” brings home to me how wonderful our radio is at the moment. Radio 6 is a constant source of high quality entertainment with stimulating contemporary sounds of every ouevre. The presenters are without exception knowledgable, enthusiastic and connected with us, their listeners in a way that enhances our experience. Radio 2 again has great shows, maybe with a broader palette than 6. Radio 4 is becoming essential listening with a menu of drama, vintage comedy and news. And then there’s Radio 5 with sport galore and that’s all before we get into the abundance of independent stations. Radio is the most intimate of media and personally I believe we’ve living in a golden age of listening. Tune in and enjoy!

(Now I wonder what treasures Bob Harris will unearth tonight?)

Left with the use of my left arm/hand only, after a serious motor cycle accident in 2005, I am learning to adapt to life with a brachial plexus injury and have developed a style of playing guitar using open tunings. I love drawing, painting and generally messing around in a fairly loose fashion. Can't describe myself as an artist, but perhaps a doodler with intent.
