Love and pride

Last Saturday our beautiful daughter Sammy married her handsome beau Andrew at Belmount Hall near Hawkshead. We had a fabulous weekend centred on the wedding ceremony itself joined by guests from all aspects of the happy couple’s life. Great uncle Jack drove down from Forfar at the ripe old age of 88 as another guest arrived in a brand new Eterniti luxury super car worth £250,000! to whisk Andrew and Sammy off to the wedding eve meal venue at Jumping Jennys, Brantwood Coniston. Meanwhile our own humble charabanc didn’t turn up at the Hall and we have to thank the kindness of our hosts who happily ferried us from Hawkshead to Coniston and back again. The day itself was filled with tears of joy and happiness. Sammy looked beautiful (see photo below), it was fantastic to see friends and family, the food was terrific, the champagne overflowing all in all a truly moving and unforgettable experience for all.

Left with the use of my left arm/hand only, after a serious motor cycle accident in 2005, I am learning to adapt to life with a brachial plexus injury and have developed a style of playing guitar using open tunings. I love drawing, painting and generally messing around in a fairly loose fashion. Can't describe myself as an artist, but perhaps a doodler with intent.
